Location: Sudbury / Full‑Time Salary Range: $85,000 -110,000.

Position Summary
ACOSAT Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Human Resources & Compliance (VP HR/Compliance) to lead the development of the company’s HR governance, compliance frameworks, workforce policies, and organizational integrity systems. This executive role is responsible for establishing ACOSAT’s HR infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment standards, and overseeing personnel processes across the organization.
The VP of HR/Compliance will work closely with executive leadership and supervise HR & Compliance staff to build a structured, compliant, and well‑documented workforce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of ACOSAT’s HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, personnel documentation, and workforce planning.
Ensure compliance with Canadian employment standards, privacy laws, and workplace regulations.
Establish compliance training programs, workplace‑safety documentation, and policy enforcement systems.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper retention and confidentiality.
Oversee performance‑management systems, employee relations, and organizational culture development.
Lead compliance reporting, audit preparation, and regulatory submissions
Implement HR technology systems and digital documentation workflows.
Supervise HR & Compliance staff and provide leadership for operational HR activities.
Support executive leadership in aligning HR strategy with organizational goals.
Ensure HR and compliance practices meet provincial and federal regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
5–10 years of progressive HR or compliance leadership experience
Strong understanding of Canadian employment standards and HR governance
Experience developing HR policies, compliance frameworks, and organizational systems
Demonstrated ability to lead HR operations in a growing or early‑stage organization
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Experience supervising HR staff or compliance personnel
Proficiency with HR software, digital documentation tools, and compliance systems
