Position Summary

ACOSAT Inc. is seeking a dedicated HR & Compliance Officer or Specialist to support the VP of HR/Compliance in building and maintaining the company’s human‑resources framework, compliance systems, and workforce‑integrity processes. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable HR professional who understands Canadian employment standards, privacy regulations, and organizational compliance requirements.

You will help establish the HR and compliance backbone of a growing technology organization.

Language Requirements: English & French

Key Responsibilities

Support the VP HR/Compliance in developing HR policies, procedures, and documentation.

Assist in establishing recruitment workflows, job descriptions, and onboarding processes.

Maintain employee records and ensure full, consistent compliance with Canadian privacy laws

Monitor adherence to provincial and federal employment standards.

Coordinate compliance training, workplace‑safety documentation, and policy updates.

Provide New Employee Orientation

Support implementation of workforce‑integrity systems and identity‑management processes.

Assist with performance‑management frameworks and employee‑relations matters.

Prepare compliance reports, audit documentation, and regulatory submissions.

Ensure HR and compliance practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements.

Provide administrative and operational support to the HR/Compliance office

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in HR, compliance, or related administrative roles

Strong understanding of Canadian employment standards and workplace regulations

Familiarity with HR documentation, record‑keeping, and policy development

Experience supporting compliance programs or audit preparation

Ability to work closely with a VP‑level Director of Operations and report to executive/senior team leaders and support strategic HR initiatives

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Comfortable working in a startup or early‑stage organizational environment

Proficiency with HR software and digital documentation tools
